Turf Installation in Bayside
JM Turf Solutions offers a complete end-to-end service, from initial site preparation to final installation of your desired grass type.
The process can vary based on multiple factors, so we will ensure to provide you full transparency along the way.
Our Turf Installation Process
With prior experience managing turf on the golf course, I understand the importance of the prep work and ensuring everything is set up correctly from day one to ensure your turf has the best chance of thriving.
1. Initial Site Preparation
We typically spray a non-selective herbicide on the yard a couple of times leading up to the project date. From there, we remove any existing turf & debris & level it, and then condition the soil based on what needs ameliorating. This includes pH, drainage, nutrient availability etc.
2. Irrigation Install (optional)
Irrigation is a fantastic, stress-free way to help your lawn thrive. If you already have irrigation installed, that is absolutely not a problem. If you don’t, or would like to upgrade your system, this is something that we can install for you as part of the turf installation process.
3. Turf Selection & Supply
By this point, you will have already selected what turf you are interested in. If you’re unsure, we provide a full breakdown of recommendations based on a few factors which include: sunlight exposure, appearance, hardiness and maintenance requirements.
4. Aftercare
We provide you with full after care instructions to ensure that your new turf has the best chance of thriving and growing in beautifully. Whether you want to take on the general maintenance of the lawn yourself or have us professionally maintain it year-round, we’ll help you.
Types of turf we install
We install turf types that suit all types of Melbourne conditions, and can assist with the ongoing maintenance once the lawn has established.

Very minimal foot traffic is recommended for the first couple of weeks until the turf roots down.
-
For common warm season grasses such as couch, kikuyu, zoysia and buffalo the ideal time to lay them is spring/summer.
For cool season grasses you can typically lay these all year round as long as you are able to keep the moisture levels up in the warmer months.
